About our groups and classes
We offer a range of groups and classes which are designed to build confidence, promote wellbeing and develop new skills. We create an encouraging and supportive atmosphere where women can make friends and learn new things. No previous knowledge or experience is necessary and everyone works at their own pace.
The groups and classes lead by us are run throughout the year, and some take place in terms.
Current Groups and Classes
Energy Balancing Group
This group teaches you how to revitalise your body and helps you to be more calm and present in your every day life. It runs from 6.30pm-7.45pm on Monday.
The Reader Organisation says that shared reading groups 'create safe, welcoming space where individual thought and feeling is recognised and valued. Members can choose to read aloud, share personal reflections or simply to listen – in this way, individuals form real connections with the literature and with each other.'
Shared reading is how our group at SWAN operates. It provides you with an opportunity to immerse yourself in great literature and connect with other people about it. It's a relaxed group with no homework to do or any other expectations. All we want is for you to be interested in reading and discussing new ideas.
