Our Vision

"Where women and teenage girls feel secure, confident and positive, where they can transform their lives and celebrate their true worth"

 Our Mission

" To support and empower women and teenage girls to improve their mental health and wellbeing"

Our History

SWAN WOMEN'S CENTRE was established over 30 years ago. In the early  days we provided health information and advice to women in the local community. However we have grown and diversified the services and support that we provide to a wider group of women and girls. Now in 2023, we are women and  teenage girls mental health and wellbeing charity.

We work with women and girls aged 13+ years, who experience stress, poverty, anxiety, depression or loneliness regardless of cause.

We do this  by providing services such as Counselling ,  Befriending, Work shops. Support groups,  Legal advice, Food vouchers,  Mindfulness, Yoga, Therapies and a wide range of other activities that aim to empower and help women and girls to improve life chances.

We have a team of 10 employees and over 80 volunteers.

Our Volunteers are at the heart of everything that we do and without whom we could not provide the breadth of services that we do.
