Our Vision

"Where women and teenage girls feel secure, confident and positive, where they can transform their lives and celebrate their true worth"

 Our Mission

" To support and empower women and teenage girls to improve their mental health and wellbeing"

Our History

SWAN WOMEN'S CENTRE was established over 30 years ago. In the early  days we provided health information and advice to women in the local community. However we have grown and diversified the services and support that we provide to a wider group of women and girls.

We work with women and girls aged 13+ years, who experience poor mental health, such as anxiety, depression or loneliness regardless of cause.

We do this  by providing services such as Free Counselling ,  Befriending, Advocacy, Support and Information, Work shops to help build confidence and resiliance, Counsellor led Support groups and Peer Support groups, Legal Advice, Food vouchers,  Mindfulness, Yoga, Holistic Therapies and a wide range of other activities that aim to empower and help women and girls to improve their life chances.

We have a team of 10 employees and over 80 volunteers.

Our Volunteers are at the heart of everything that we do and without whom we could not provide the breadth of services that we do.
