Befriending Service

Individual circumstances can change over time and due to things like family and friends moving away or experiencing an ongoing illnesses, we can become lonely and feel isolated. It can also become more difficult to make new friends if we are at home most of the day and this can affect our emotional, physical and financial wellbeing.

Our aim in providing this service is to help women of all ages who live in Sefton or Liverpool to feel less lonely and isolated. We do this by providing a volunteer befriender who you will contact you to meet up on a weekly basis.   They can accompany you to socialise, go shopping or  attend meetings/appointments with you.

If you would like someone to talk to or you would like to become a volunteer befriender, please contact Rebecca Moughtin at vbc@swanwomenscentre.org or call 0151 933 3292

Our Befriending Service is funded by John Moores Foundation.
